Late 19th C Chinese Gold Mounted Carnelian, Obsidian & Silver Gilt Silk Necklace
This is a superb Chinese silk necklace, hung along its entire length with graduated carnelian beads. Each bead is silver mounted, below an obsidian facet cut bead centrally, and as you move more to the flanks the beads are topped by a silver gilt bead instead. The necklace has a 9ct gold clasp, marked as such, and it has an overall length of around 37.5cm. The central beads, the largest, are around 15mm in diameter. Condition of the necklace is very good all round, with no evident damage or repairs. We no longer send to South Africa or Israel.
