Chinese Jeweled Gilt Silver & Enamel Elephant

A vintage, very well sculpted, Chinese Gilt Silver and Enamel Elephant figure decorated with turquoise, carnelian and light green jade cabochons throughout. Saddle blanket features fish, bat and floral designs. Entire body is silver with gold plate, but there is a fair bit of tarnish so it looks darker (still very shiny gold under the blanket). Trunk up for good luck. Discretely tested positive for silver.

Measures 12 long x 7.5 tall x 4 wide. Weighs 1023 with stand, 707 for silver only. Condition: missing 6 turquoise cabochons on blanket, most of the little enamel bulbs seen at left rear leg, one tiny ding on trunk above tusks.
