Beautiful Vintage Chinese Silver Gilt Enamel Jade Kylin Animal Brooch Pin Boxed

  

A fabulous vintage Chinese sterling silver gilt, enamel and carved jade kylin brooch/pin in silk dragon box. It's unusual to find brooches of this type with kylins and this stunning vintage sterling silver gilt filigree Chinese pin has a gorgeous carved green and white jade crouching kylin with wonderful carved details set into its center surrounded by wonderful enamel flowers over an intricate sterling silver gilt filigree setting with further gilt filigree work to the back. The reverse has a roll over safety clasp and is marked'Silver' and'Made in China'. The brooch is presented in a butterfly form red silk box decorated with dragons, flowers and symbols.

The brooch measures approximately 42mm x 29mm, the kylin is about 31mm long. The brooch weighs approximately 10.9 grams.

The brooch and box are both in excellent condition with all over light wear. The enamel is in excellent, undamaged condition with a few tiny firing faults.
