ART DECO Chinese Export Bracelet Running Horses Gilt Silver Filigree Circa 1930

  
All pictures are part of the description. This Chinese Export hinged bangle bracelet is crafted of gold over very fine silver filigree.

The theme of the design is Black Running Horses. In my opinion the design is stylized in an Art Deco manner that could be an indication of the old vintage age on this beautiful and rare bracelet. The enamel on the horses and clouds is impeccable.

The vivid blue of the saddles is a nice accent on the black background of the horses' bodies. The light blue clouds are embellished with green jade stones in a fine bezel set. A safety chain with hook is an additional good feature of this bracelet.

I think that the bracelet was made for the Western market in the 1930's. There are no marks anywhere for silver and maker. I acid tested it in a hidden space and the test shows silver. The silver is gold washed well and I do not see any gold loss. The bracelet shows almost no signs of wear and it was well kept in a safe place considering its good condition.

The bracelet will fit a maximum 6 7/8 wrist which is a size S-M wrist. Width of the bracelet is 7/8 or 19 mm. The round cabochon jade accents are approx. Condition is very fine with some patina that does not detract from its charm, ready to wear.
